The Hospital Jihlava contributory organization, has been a holder of the certificate of external evaluation of quality and safety of provided services since 2008. It has defended its status of an accredited healthcare facility during an external quality assessment audit of the Czech Society for Accreditation in Healthcare 17 and 18 January 2024.

Accreditation is a demanding process in which a hospital must demonstrate to an external, independent accreditation company that it meets specified quality and safety requirements for the services it provides. Independent auditors monitor compliance with accreditation standards in the provision of healthcare services to patients, which cover all clinical activities of the healthcare facility, and also impose requirements on non-clinical areas related to patient care, such as catering, technical operations, hygiene of the hospital environment, fire protection, crisis management, and hospital management. The assessment places emphasis on the safety of patients during the provision of healthcare services and during their stay in hospital. For patients, the certificate of successful accreditation is a guarantee that the hospital meets or exceeds the basic requirements for quality and safety of the care provided. Accreditation is granted for three years.

The strictest quality conditions are also met by the complement department of the Hospital Jihlava. The Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology is the holder of the external quality assessment certificates of the Czech Institute for Accreditation o. p. s. (CIA) and the National Authorization Centre for Clinical Laboratories at the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (NASKL), the Department of Haematology and Transfusion is a holder of the NASKL certificate and the Department of Pathology and Anatomy is a holder of the NASKL certificate. The Radiodiagnostic Departments fulfil the obligation to assess the quality and safety of health services in medical radiation according to Act No. 373/2011 Coll, on specific health services. These workplaces are inspected by the State Office for Nuclear Safety. The catering operation has implemented the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, which confirms the principles of good manufacturing and hygiene practice in catering services. The hospital pharmacy, the bone tissue bank and the cord blood and placenta tissue collection facilities are inspected by the HACCP.
