Internal Department

The allergy and immunology clinic has been operating within the internal medicine department since 2000. This department provides comprehensive laboratory and clinical diagnostics of immunopathological conditions (allergic diseases, systemic diseases, immunodeficiencies) and their treatment (replacement therapy for antibody immunodeficiencies, application and preparation of autovaccines, allergen immunotherapy, immunomodulatory and stimulation therapy, management of immunosuppressive treatment). Given the low frequency of some diseases, the department cooperates with all national registries and teaching hospitals that have specialized immunological departments.

Vascular-inputs clinic is a workplace within the internal department where the long-term venous inputs (Midline + PICC catheters) are performed together with their redressing.

The clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the PUIP building (above the Urgent ward)

Diabetologická a metabolická ambulance

Diabetology clinic of Jihlava Hospital provides diagnosis, education, treatment and long-term monitoring of patients with type diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2. It provides care for patients treated with an insulin pump, gestational diabetics, offers continuous glucose monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of fat metabolism - metabolic outpatient clinic. In collaboration with a number of disciplines (angiology, ophthalmology, neurology, surgery), it carries out prevention and early diagnosis of late complications of diabetes, especially diabetic foot (podiatry). It provides consultative services for hospitalized diabetic patients.

Diabetologická a podiatrická ambulance

Podiatrická ambulance je určená diabetikům k léčbě defektů dolních končetin distálně od kotníku a k léčbě Charcotovy osteoartropatie. Pacienta odesílá ošetřující diabetolog či praktický lékař, který pečuje o diabetes pacienta. Na žádance prosíme o uvedení dosavadní léčby defektu a přiložení doposud provedených vyšetření.

The work of the endocrinology outpatient clinic is diagnostics, treatment and long-term dispensary of patients with diseases of endocrine glands. It uses a range of diagnostic methods of laboratory, clinical and imaging, preferably also ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland and parathyroid glands with the possibility of taking biopsy samples. In terms of treatment, it works closely with a number of disciplines such as surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, etc.

The domain of the osteological clinic is a clinical and laboratory diagnosis of osteoporosis with the detection of risk factors and the exclusion of possible secondary causes, especially in patients treated with corticosteroids, patients with thyroid diseases and parathyroid disorders and some rarer diseases.

Admission clinic of the internal department is located on the ground floor of the emergency pavillion and intensive medicine pavilion and is intended for unselected admission of patients with internal diseases. It is also used for examination and admission of patients during emergency service.

The rheumatology clinic deals with inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatic diseases. Among inflammatory diseases, rheumatoid arthritis is represented in the largest number, followed by spondylarthritis (ankylosing, psoriatic, reactive), and among non-inflammatory diseases, osteoarthritis and crystal arthropathies (e.g. gout). It also treats patients with systemic diseases such as scleroderma, systemic lupus, dermatomyositis and others.
The most modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are used for rheumatology patients and the workplace is one of the first centres in the Czech Republic providing biological treatment in rheumatology.
