Department description
The Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department of Jihlava Hospital provides top-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care for women with gynaecological diseases and pregnant women, including antenatal care, labour management and postnatal care. In addition to the general outpatient clinic, specialised outpatient clinics are available for gynaecological patients, including ultrasound, indication, oncogynaecology, urogynaecology and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.
We provide pregnant women with monitoring in the outpatient clinic for risky pregnancies, management of examinations during transfer to the care of the district gynaecologist, consultation of the birth plan, antenatal courses, the possibility of individual care by a midwife and other services. Our delivery rooms are modern, but at the same time very comfortable for the women giving birth, in the modern trend of the "home delivery room". During the care of the pregnant woman, during the birth and during the postpartum care, we emphasize respecting the client's wishes, the comfort of the parental couple and ensuring the safety of the baby and the mother-to-be.
We perform all gynaecological surgery, including minor gynaecological procedures, vaginally guided procedures, laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery. In 2023, we started performing robotic surgery on the state-of-the-art Da Vinci Xi machine. Patients can access one-day surgical care for minor procedures. We are an accredited Oncogynecology Center that provides comprehensive oncogynecology care including diagnostics and surgery. We hold national professional conferences in urogynecology, oncogynecology, perinatal care and midwifery conferences. Our physicians and nurses publish in professional journals, books and textbooks.
We cooperate with the College of Polytechnics in Jihlava, where we stand as guarantors and teachers in the fields of General Nursing and Midwifery, we also cooperate with the medical-education facilities in Jihlava.
