Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology

The DCBMI laboratory carries out qualitative and quantitative biochemical, immunological, microbiological and molecular genetic tests of blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, faeces, sputum and other biological material for inpatient and outpatient departments of the Hospital Jihlava and for all other medical facilities in the area according to their requirements.

Provides consultative activities to interpret laboratory results including rational ATB therapy consultation activities. For tests not available at DCBMI, it provides specimen collection, pre-analytical processing, triage and transport to sites capable of providing these services.

OKBMI is divided into the following sections:

• Section of Clinical Biochemistry (sKB).
• Section of Clinical Microbiology (sCM).
• Section of Clinical Immunology (sCI).
• Laboratory of Molecular Genetics (LMG).

The DCBMI laboratory is listed in the Register of Clinical Laboratories and meets the basic technical and personnel requirements. The laboratory of molecular genetics (LMG) is accredited by the CIA under the number 8314 according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 15189:2013.The laboratories of biochemistry, microbiology and immunology are certified according to NASKL, Audit II. Laboratories also participate in external quality control systems organised through the SECK, ECE and Instand.
